Ventilation

At Blueprint we stock a broader range of masonry ventilation
components than any other supplier, we also know a lot more
about them. We employ one of the most fully trained, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and helpful sales teams
anywhere in the industry. So whether you’re a contractor,
a merchant, an architect or engineer, we can provide you
with the complete masonry ventilation solution.

Our ventilation brochure intends to give you a simply and concise idea of the types of products that we can
provide in this category. We are able to assist our customers in all areas of product selection, including
availability and cost. Being a specialist means we can also
provide advice on how products can be fitted, what they can be
fitted with and a range of possible alternatives.

At Blueprint we like to get involved with our customers projects. We’ll gladly arrange for one of our
experts to meet you on site and help you in site surveys and
determine exactly what product is needed where. If it is appropriate we dedicate a project manager to a
contract who is responsible for the whole supply chain process from design through to costing and delivery.

Blueprint use and invest in leading IT and stock management systems that mean we are more likely to have the product you want on our shelves than anyone else in the country.

Technology that means what you order is what you get.

Airbricks
Manufactured to brick dimensions, airbricks are incorporated within masonry walls. They can be used without attachments to ventilate the cavity. However, they are compatible with a range of straight or telescopic sleeves. A range of colours and sizes are available in either plastic or clay.

Weep Vents
Designed to discharge water from the cavity, whilst encouraging the wall to breathe. Various types are available from stock, including standard vents, small telescopic vents and reversible
concealed vents. All items are available in a variety of colours.

Periscope
Designed to permit air entry into an area of a structure that is set at a different level to the airbrick. The periscope is fully adjustable to accommodate different level heights. A extension sleeve can be added to the periscope for additional adjustability. The product is designed to accommodate either a plastic or clay air brick.

Cavity Liners
Designed to permit air entry into an area of a structure that is at the same level to the airbrick. The sleeve is available in different lengths to allow for different wall thicknesses. The product is available in either plastic or clay and is designed to accommodate all standard size airbricks.

Soffitt Vents
A range of ventilation products to allow air entry via the soffit are available. These include standard
soffit strip to circular soffit ventilators. All products are available in a range of colours.

Grilles
A range of face fit grilles are available from stock. They are available in standard sizes, metal or
plastic and a hit and miss (open/close) type is also available.

Ventilation

Not only do our buildings now
incorporate greater levels of
insulation, but also over the last 20 years they have become increasingly
airtight. Ventilation (the controlled replacement of stale, indoor air with fresh, external air) has now replaced
uncontrolled draughts. Ventilation is essential for providing a healthy living
environment. We need ventilation to breathe, but also to get rid of indoor pollutants and reduce water vapour
levels. A relative humidity of between 50% and 65% will prevent condensation and mould growth, discourage dust mites and provide
the most comfortable and healthy living environment.

We stock a range of cavity, floor and roof ventilation products designed to
provide new buildings with optimum ventilation levels and to meet current building regulations. We can advise
on selection as well as the most effective combination of products.
